Members of the guild benefit from a variety of opportunities:
- Attend monthly meetings (except July and August) to meet people who share your interests.
- Hear informative programs that will extend your knowledge about hand weaving and related textile arts.
- Learn new techniques through a variety of workshops presented throughout the year.
- Borrow materials from an extensive library of books and magazines
The guild has a world class library of over 600 volumes devoted to a range of fiber art topics. The library contains a comprehensive collection of current and historical books on hand weaving. You will find instructional books and videos on weaving, spinning, basketry, dyeing and more. Current and past issues of all major fiber magazines are also available.
The library is open during the monthly meeting. Books may be checked out by members for a month at a time. Click here for a complete listing of the library’s holdings.
- Bring guests to meetings.
- Rent weaving and spinning equipment through the guild’s rental program.
- Participate in the Master Weavers program.
- Receive the quarterly newsletter, The Treadlin’ Times.
Calendar year (Jan.-Dec.) membership dues are $30. New members joining after June 30 pay pro-rated dues of $20.
Treadlin' Times Subscription-only option: Individuals residing outside of San Diego County who do not wish to become members may subscribe to the Treadlin’ Times for $15/year
